Buzz’s comments on his cruise from
Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale on the Crystal Serenity November 2019
Before the cruise, I spent
3 nights in Barcelona. Since I had only
spent one day in Barcelona before, this gave me an opportunity to explore the Miro,
Picasso and Catalonia museums and the Gothic quarter.
The first leg of this trip
was from Barcelona to Lisbon stopping in several ports on the southern coast of
Spain and Gibraltar. The second leg was from Lisbon to Fort Lauderdale with
only two stops. The lectures were
excellent on the several sea days..
Food onboard was very good; improving on my other Crystal voyages. I continued to like the specialty
restaurants. I tried the Vintage Room
for the first time and it was an amazing experience. For the menu and a
description of the wines click here.
Another new option is the Supper Club (only available on the Serenity
and only on Black Tie Optional nights).
It is a nightclub style dinner with live entertainment during the food
service and dancing afterwards.
Crystal continues to be my
favorite high-end cruise line because:
Great lectures
Dining variety every night
Multiple entertainment options
Reasonable single supplements if booked early
We had many sea days so the
lectures and entertainers were a very important part of making this a great
cruise. For a listing of
