Buzz’s comments on his cruise from
New York to Bermuda round trip twice on the Crystal Symphony October 2021
Leaving from New York and
returning to New York meant I only had a short ride to get to and from the ship
with no overnights required. However, I
needed to test negative for COVID-19 five times before and during the cruise to
comply with Bermuda health authorities.
The cruise only stopped in
Bermuda for a day and a half on each trip so there were many sea days that I
love. The most of the lectures were
excellent on the several sea days. The ship had very few passengers – less than
25% of the ship’s capacity so I was almost like sailing on a private yacht.
Food onboard was very
good; the same as my last several Crystal voyages. I continued to like the specialty
restaurants. I enjoyed the Vintage Room
for the fourth time and it was an amazing experience. For the menu and a
description of the wines click here.
Crystal continues to be my
favorite high-end cruise line because:
Great lectures
Dining variety every night
Multiple entertainment options
Reasonable single supplements if booked early
I did not venture away
from the Royal Dockyard area because I explored the other parts of the island
when I was in Bermuda in April 2016.
We had many sea days so the
lectures and entertainers were a very important part of making this a great
cruise. For a listing of
